Join the Intuit Hour of Finance™ Challenge and Ignite Student Interest in Personal Finance

We’re teaming up with Intuit for Education to challenge educators nationwide to bring one hour of financial education into the classroom and spark student interest in financial literacy.

In anticipation of Financial Literacy Month in April, the Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge will run from February 23April 15, 2026.

The challenge is designed for educators of all subject areas and is open to middle schoolers and high schoolers in the United States.

It can be completed in an hour or less and includes free plug and play activitiesno cost and no prep work needed.

How it Works:

 

Choose Your Activity

Pick from two online games:

  • Intuit’s Credit Climber, which explores how financial decisions affect credit.
  • NGPF’s Money Magic, which reinforces budgeting and financial decision-making skills.

 

Register for the Challenge

Register here to participate.

After registering, you will receive a challenge link and a unique join code to share with your students.

Note: Intuit does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from students. The unique join code allows them to play as an anonymous participant.

 

Start Playing

Students will open the link on their individual computers, enter the join code, and they’re ready to begin!

 

Earn Recognition and Awards

Schools with multiple educators participating will be eligible for awards, including banners, trophies, badges, and cash awards for school supplies.

To be eligible for awards, a participating educator must:

  • Teach at a school with an NCES ID and at least 50 students enrolled
  • Register for the contest
  • Have a minimum of ten (10) distinct Players who each successfully join and complete a full playthrough of the designated game during the contest period.
