Curriculum Announcements: Semester Course is Now on Canvas

NGPF is excited to announce that the Student Activity Packets for the Semester Course are now available on Canvas!

How do I find the course on Canvas?

You can find the NGPF Semester Course in Canvas Commons. Here is a direct link to the course. Alternatively, you can also search for the course by doing the following:

  1. Log into your Canvas teacher account.
  2. Click on “Commons” on the left side of your account page
  3. Search for “NGPF” in the search bar
  4. Select “NGPF Semester Course”. This should be the first search result that comes up [see image below].

What is included in the Canvas course?

  • All Units in the course are listed as individual modules.
  • Each unit includes the lessons listed in order, with a link to the Student Activity Packet.

Note: The link will automatically prompt students to create a copy of the Student Activity Packet.

What is NOT in Canvas?

To prevent accidentally wiping out student data through Canvas Commons, NGPF did not load resources within the lessons (videos, articles, etc) and assessments (exit tickets, unit tests, diagnostic and final exams) into Canvas.

You can find all of these materials, as well as other resources such as a Course Syllabus template and more, on the NGPF Semester Course page.

Can I make changes to my copy of the course in Canvas?

Yes! With all of the units, lesson titles, and Student Activity Packets already preloaded into Canvas, you don’t have to create a course in Canvas from scratch! Once you’ve made your own copy of the course, modify the course for your students’ needs, grading preferences, etc.

What should I do if I need support with using Canvas?
