The Anatomy of an NGPF Lesson

When you use NGPF, you never need to write another lesson again. Learn how NGPF lessons are structured so you know what to expect when preparing for your class.

Each NGPF lesson has a Lesson Guide and a Student Activity Packet

  • Lesson Guide: Only teachers have access to the lesson guide which includes time estimates for each resource, teacher tips, and more. Note: The lesson guide is also the answer key for the lesson.
  • Student Activity Packet: This is the document you can print out or share digitally with students.

The Structure

Each lesson has 4 key sections:

  • Intro: Every lesson starts with a hook and includes a quick bell ringer activity.
  • Learn It: Curated videos, articles, infographics and more sequenced to provide students with the core content knowledge for the lesson.
  • Do It:  An experiential activity to engage students with real-world applications.
  • Exit Ticket: A quick check for student understanding; available as a Google Doc or Google Form.

Do More, Learn More

You’ll find additional resources at the bottom of each Lesson Guide to “extend the learning” in your classroom. These are useful if you want to extend the lesson or dive deeper into a specific topic.
