Interactive Monday: How Good Is Your Giving?

Hat tip to Jessica for pointing out this cool interactive from MIT (updated May 20, 2023: no longer available) which analyzes your giving impulses. Here are the instructions:

Reflection questions:

  • After analyzing the results, which preferences do you feel accurate represent your giving habits? Which results do you feel are least accurate when it comes to your giving practice?
  • Do you agree that effectiveness should correspond to the number of lives saved? Do you think that everyone has that perspective?
  • Why do you think that Famous Charity bias exists? 
  • Do you find it's easier to give to relatives compared to strangers? Explain.
