We are excited to introduce a brand new professional development opportunity: NGPF Office Hours! This pilot program is designed to give you dedicated time each week to ask questions, share challenges, and receive personalized support to elevate your personal finance instruction.
Whether you're new to teaching personal finance or a seasoned educator looking for fresh ideas, NGPF Office Hours is designed to help.
What You Can Expect
- Answers to Your Questions: Get actionable advice on resources, lesson plans, or classroom strategies
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Share challenges and brainstorm solutions with fellow teachers
- Flexibility: The sessions will be held weekly at varying times to accommodate different schedules
Meet Your Host
NGPF Office Hours pilot sessions will be hosted by Amanda Volz, an educator with over 20 years of experience teaching personal finance and using the NGPF curriculum in her classroom. Amanda will bring a wealth of knowledge and practical insights to support you.
How to Join
Register for NGPF Office Hours on the Virtual PD webpage. You can attend as many as you would like! Here are the available dates and times:
- Thursday, January 16, 2025; 3pm PT/6pm ET
- Wednesday, January 22, 2025; 4pm PT/7pm ET
- Tuesday, January 28, 2025; 2pm PT/5pm ET
- Monday, February 3, 2025; 4pm PT/7pm ET

Amanda joins the NGPF Team with over 20 years of experience teaching personal finance. During that time, she led her students to hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships, won multiple awards, and most importantly, impacted the financial lives of thousands of high school students. Amanda prides herself on being an educational leader and is constantly looking for innovative ways to make the classroom relevant, rigorous, and fun. She is a passionate advocate for financial education and has been a long-time member of the NGPF community. Fun fact - Amanda was NGPF’s first teacher account! When Amanda isn’t working, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and traveling with her husband and two children.
